Greg Jensen's Bio:
Being a resident and Business owner in Freeborn County all of my life, I take great pride in this community's potential and am always in search of ways to help it grow, stand apart and prosper.
I grew to love the radio business being a part owner of 1450 AM, 94.9FM and 102.7FM a few years back. Then, my partners and I were approached by Three Eagles out of Lincoln Nebraska and sold these stations to them. Not only was I sick about selling out of a business that I grew to love, but realized what a disservice I had done to my community by helping the extinction of locally owned radio stations and adding to the growth of corporate radio. I quickly went to work on Cumulus Broadcasting to purchase the Freeborn/Mower County territory of POWER 96. After four years I finally succeeded in bringing back a locally owned radio station to Freeborn and Mower Counties of December 2001.
We have worked hard to make P96 truly a locally focused, full-service radio station for our community. We are commited to an honest business here to serve the community, entertain the listener and bring them valuable information in a timely manner.
Several years later we acquired KQAQ, AM 970. Classic Country Legends and have not looked back. The response to the KQAQ format of True Classic Country has been overwhelming. We maintain the same focus on both of these Radio Stations where local and the listeners are #1.
Nothing makes me prouder than hearing how much the people of the community love POWER 96 and KQAQ finding out that business prospers from promoting their product or service on these stations. It makes me feel like my hard work, efforts and investment were all worth while.

I've lived in Albert Lea all of my life and love it here! I'm very proud to be part of HOMETOWN BROADCASTING.....the Only LOCALLY OWNED media in the area, that operates two CLASSIC Radio Stations. KQPR-FM Power 96 Classic Rock, and KQAQ 970AM Classic Country. With the best darn music in Southern MN and Northern Iowa! We also own & operate the Austin Home & Vacation Show that takes place every Spring.
Locally Owned & Managed Radio Stations are nearly extinct....so Freeborn, Mower and surrounding Counties are VERY lucky to have their own Locally Owned Radio Stations right here! Locally Owned....truly caring about the Success of Local Business, and the Communities we live in.
I believe everyone should take every opportunity to LIVE, LAUGH and HAVE FUN! And because we make that our #1 priority,
our Stations are INFECTIOUS, and Our Listener Base on both stations Grows Daily! Giving Advertisers a Great Return on their Investment with Us!
Our Stations are very Interactive with our Audience. Daily Contests & Giveaways, Fun Promotions, along with the most immediate local News, Sports, Weather, Farm Markets, and Public Service information to serve and benefit the people of our community.
Just Remember, if you're a ROCKER we don't care what your favorite position is...as long as it has a 9 and a 6 in it! And if you're one of many True CLASSIC COUNTRY LOVERS......you're welcome! I'm told on a Daily Basis, that we nailed it! Giving people something they can't get on any other dial in the area!

Life as we know it continues to change and Ron doesn\'t miss a trick. The Ron Hunter Showgram is the brainchild of a demented mind that grew up in large market radio and Ron has been chasing down that dream ever since. Working in video and radio since high school, Ron has been fine tuning his skills as an effective communicator and psychopath in radio for many years.
Ron\'s last stint was at an Alabama cluster !)*%*~ that included many different formats including AC, Country, Talk, Urban and Top 40 as well as the Alabama Radio Network that broadcast news and sports to 90 stations across the state. Ron was an established Talk Show Host, however the pull to get back to the Midwest and people with teeth that dated outside their own family was too much for him. Ron left \"Market 57\" and brought his talents, hobbies and twisted mind with him to Power 96. In addition to pulling the evening drive air from 2 to 6 PM, Ron is the Program Director of the station.
In his copious amounts of free time, Ron enjoys upsetting P.E.T.A., after all; we didn\'t get to the top of the food chain by a fluke. Ron also enjoys going out and hanging with listeners of the Showgram, as well as doin a little bit of Karoake and goin fishin with the guys. Eventually Ron would like to make enough cash to stop the bad habit of dumpster dining and serving up nutritious dishes at his own road-kill cafe.
That\'s it for me, This Monkey is Outta here! You should be too! Get back to work!
You can follow me on Twitter @RonHunterRadio and you can search me on Facebook as well!

I can’t believe I’m “old school” now. I’ve always been the up and coming guy that made everyone keep their skills up. On May 1st, 2013 I’ll have been at Power 96 for 10 years and in the radio business for 31 years! I turn 50 just before that on April 26th!! That can’t be right. I still feel like I’m about 35.
It’s been a great decade here at Power 96. I’ve married a local beauty, Kristi Swalve, and we have two little girls together, Ferran turned 2 in October and Paisley turns 1 in March. I also have a 22 year old daughter, Kayli, from my first marriage and a 14 year step-son, Ian, from Kristi’s first marriage.
We also run an Alpaca ranch between Albert Lea and Austin. Actually we have a zoo with 15 alpacas, 1 llama, 8 barn cats, 3 dogs, 3 turtles and a talking African Parrot.

I grew up and graduated from Alden-Conger High School, am the youngest and favorite of six children and a proud Aunt to 36 nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews…apparently my family took the verse from the bible “Be fruitful and multiply” a little too seriously.
I believe in radio and Hometown Broadcasting has the two best stations for any music lover to enjoy…Power 96 Classic Rock and KQAQ Classic Country.
I go above and beyond when it comes to helping my clients and working with them to provide a marketing plan that will provide them with success and would love to work with you. Here’s my number 373-9600…so call me maybe!

Tom Fry's Bio:
If you knew a never married, childless man with two cats, you might be inclined to make some assumptions. But Tom Fry defies every stereotype. He’s a native Detroit rocker and sports fanatic hell bent on squeezing every last ounce of freedom out of adulthood. Tom graduated from Indiana University which explains his Hoosier basketball passion. When he’s not jamming on his Fender Telecaster he’s planted in front of a flat screen watching the Lions, Tigers or Pistons. You might enjoy hanging out with Tom and now you can, late nights on the station. Just leave a few cold ones in his fridge before you go.

Tony Scott's Bio:
Whoever your favorite rock star is you can bet that Tony Scott has interviewed them, met them or done both. Those are some of the perks of a lifetime in rock and roll for a guy who makes being a DJ sound effortless. When Tony isn’t working the phones on the air or giving away a ridiculously huge grand prize, you’ll often find him at the concert by the artist that he played earlier that day. Tony’s passions include raising champion Golden Retrievers. He's also an admitted Broncomaniac who continues to put his doctorate in mixology to good use at tailgate parties. When it's time to unwind Tony heads for the slopes where he still believes he missed his calling as an Olympic downhill skier...oh well...we all still dream of what might have been !!

Robbie Knight's Bio:
I'm a lifetime NRA member and I donate to Greenpeace. The way I grew up, that's not contradictory. Dad was a game warden. I was an avid backpacker and mountain biker for years, but I'm a SPAZ and I've got lots of injuries so now I car camp. I take care of myself and I enjoy Chinese exercises like Qigong (Taekwondo got me hurt, Ju Jitzu hurt even more). I hate jam bands (except for the old school ones). Allman Brothers, “yes”, String Cheese, “no”. My Mom raised me on classical music (mostly the Germans) and she knew everything about the great composers, so I got hooked on reading rock trivia. Rock and roll saves teen lives, it sure did that for me.

Lu Valentino's Bio:
When Lu Valentino isn’t making new fans on the radio, chances are she is pampering her two tiny Yorkshire Terriers, LuVee and Cherish. She’d be a crazy cat lady too, if she weren’t allergic. When you meet Lu you’ll realize she’s a hot, tough East Coast chick (mob wife, not The Ramones). Because she’s lonely and single, Lu spends inordinate amounts of time on social networks (The Lu Valentino Show on Facebook and @LuValentino on Twitter). Her extensive background in comedy and improv has helped her make some famous friends and enemies. It’s just one of the things that makes her something totally different in the evening. Check out What a Mouth every Friday night too, as Lu is joined by comedienne Jill Bryan (who just happens to be Jimmy Kimmel’s sister). Get to know Lu on Facebook at “The Lu Valentino Show” and on Twitter: @LuValentino.

McKenzie is easy to hang out with, which helps explain how she’s met legends like Ozzy, Dio, George Thorogood, Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Kip Winger, Heart, Tommy Shaw and even Mr. T...You can catch McKenzie during the midday. She looks forward to the music and taking your calls. Don’t let the hot ‘girl next door’ look fool ya, she’s really a mouse that roars! [Just ask anyone at the radio station!] She looks forward to a Mt. Dew every morning and donuts on Fridays. After entertaining on air, she's off to spend the rest of the day with the love of her life, her daughter Samantha and all of her exotic critters. If she has any spare time left, she’s out spending money and looking for her new Mr. Right.
